Forum: texts Subject: Issue Uploading -- Server Read-Only AND Not in Queue and Naming Question

I'm giving as much background as possible, here. Forgive me for being verbose.

I am trying to get our school's newspaper online. I uploaded all 172 .pdf files at once -- something I now know is a mistake.

When the files started to render, I got the "server readonly -- tasks waiting for harddrive fix" error message. After looking at the forums, I noticed that this could take several days to fix.

When I looked at the page (http://archive.org/details/SheltonStateCourier), the left sidebar has a list, but no file names, just PDF, PDF, PDF. I thought perhaps this would be remedied when the tasks were no longer outstanding.

I was unworried -- it's only been three days. I've left it up-and-open to show my coworkers the process. Today, when I checked on things again, I noticed that I am no longer listed in the "where am I in line?" list.

I can't get to my metadata or stop the upload/deriving. The file names on the page are still just PDF.

Did I break it by uploading so many items at once? How can I fix it?

(I know it's Friday. Frankly, there's no rush on this. We've gone without a newspaper archive for this long...)
